Q. Do the cars come
with drivers? A. Yes, all the cars
come with trained drivers. Q. Who normally goes in which car
at what time? A. This is always a hard one to answer as
it depends on who's attending and whom you would like to be transported.
Starting with the basics, the Bride and Father of the Bride normally
travel together in one car. Should the father of the Bride be unable to
attend, then Brothers, Uncles and close friends are sometimes substituted.
After the ceremony, the Bride and Groom travel in the Bridal car. The
second car normally transports the Bridesmaids and Mother of the Bride
with the third car transporting the Grooms parents. There are many
variations on this theme and there are no hard and fast rules, especially
nowadays. Aunties and Grannies are sometimes transported too. If you can
advise the passengers, we can help plan the transportation requirements.
Q. Are 'scrambles' allowed?
A. Most insurance companies
prefer that if a 'scramble' should take place, it takes place away from
cars and any other hazards. There have been instances where children have
gone under cars to collect money. (Not with us I might add!)
Q. Can I see the cars before I book?
A. Yes you are more
than welcome to view the cars, in fact we encourage you to view the cars
personally. Q. Are the drivers uniformed?
A. Yes they all wear a dark suit with matching hat.
Q. Do you use a car for more than 1 wedding a day?
A. No, all cars are used for only one wedding per day.
Q. What happens if the unthinkable happens and a car breaks
down?
A. With the fleet we currently operate, it is extremely
unusual that all the cars are out on the same day, therefore there is
normally a spare car back at the garage. All the cars are also covered by
the AA or RAC for minor instances. Further to this we do have very good
relations with other companies in the business, that we can borrow cars
from other companies if circumstances require it. Unfortunately, no matter
how much planning is done, things can go wrong with a wedding (not just
the transportation), we therefore recommend that insurance is considered
by the client to cover anything that could go wrong.
Q. I only need a car for an hour, can I get a discount?
A. Unfortunately, with the preparation that we have to put
into the planning of the transport, cleaning of the vehicle in preparation
for your wedding, travelling time to the pickup address, travelling time
after dropping off, and then cleaning after the wedding, plus the day is
then lost to any other booking, we do not normally discount the
price as this could have already involved 3-4 hours work! Our prices are
also very competitive already with other companies which reduces any
margin for discounting. |
